Good bye little puppy

Well as you all know, we had a puppy, a cute border collie/blue heeler. I liked him, Zack liked him and Jackson like him, when he was not biting our ankles. But it was too much too soon. We found out that as much as we love the dog, it was just too much for us right now. So someday, someday that might happen again.

How about them boys

One thing we do is have fun at our home, and picture time can be pretty fun. Is that attitude or what?

Help me diagnos my poor little plant

So my boys and I are trying to start a little garden. I big plan was to start from seed and watch them grow. So far not too many problems. We we just excited to have a few of the plants get started. I am just under 50 percent. I'll take that for my first time. We have two great looking pumpkins that started nicely, but right now there are starting to show some problems. I don't know if it is from overwatering, or from too much sun. One of the leaves does look a bit burned. Sooo if you have any suggestions please feel free to let me know.

Fried Chicken, thats right Chicken

Well we all know that My wonderful wife is allergic to chicken, right. Yeah, so I happen to really enjoy eating chicken, and would do so on a daily basis if I could, and almost did while I was in college. Knowing that, it goes without saying that when I cook chicken at our house it is a pretty dangerous and quite scary endeavor. Last week while spending time in Las Vegas with my brother, he and I sat down for some close bonding time, (this means watching T.V.). We were watching the food network and Alden was doing Good Eats by cooking home made fried chicken from scratch and by using a whole fryer chicken. I decided that it would be fun to try to make the chicken. Can I just say labor intensive, but so much fun. I started last night by soaking the chicken and ended the adventure tonight by cooking it in our new cast iron skillet. Mandy had this look of fear in her eyes the entire time, for good reason. I tried really hard to be as safe as I could without contaminating the entire kitchen, but that proved hard to do. I think, and more importantly Zack thinks that the whole event was a success. The hardest part was having Zack not be able to touch his mother after eating dinner. I had to rush him to the sink for a good old hand washing.. Did I mention that the whole thing was pretty labor intensive.

ah back to good stuff

I know that I don't post near as much as my wife, but I think I am okay with that. I have tons to say, but as it goes, I am not always in the mood to say it. So instead how about some more old pics. That is always good for the soul.
