A little fun

Usually when I pick up the newspaper from outside, I just throw it away, or bring in the house and leave it for my wife to deal with. This morning I thought I would look through it to see if anything was interesting. Well as you could probably guess (otherwise I would not be posting) there was something that I found interesting. The Department of natural resource and conservation had a small article about Bald Eagle day. well that was today.We looked into it and found out where it was at. We went there, and they had some spotting scopes set up, and aimed at a section of trees about two hundred yards off the side of the road only a few miles away from our home. Out in the middle of nowhere in a small section of trees, there they were. Perched majestically on the branches. The spotting scopes were amazing, and make me feel quite inadequate with my lenses on my camera. Needless to say, I am now seriously coveting a 6000 dollar lens. The guys there were really nice, and gave the boys some small buttons. My older boy was willing to look through the scope and did several times, but the younger was not. He was content to see them off in the distance. I thought it was a pretty neat experience. Just wish I had some better lenses. Oh well.

It's been a while, I know

I know it has been a while since I have added anything to my blog. It is not due to lack of things to say, rather just the time in which to say it. I am hoping to have the time to put done some thoughts here soon. Hoping being the key part. So for now, just to get something started, a few pictures.
