More pictures

Lately I have been trying to get out to take more pictures. Funny thing is whenever I do that, I remember that I really love taking pictures. We have been having some great late evening thunderstorms down here in Cedar City, which I think makes for great sunsets. My wife asked, "why do you keep taking pictures of sunsets"? Well I am not sure what the answer is, other then they just look nice to me. If you have any comments please let me know. The sad part is, with school starting soon, I will not have much time to work on pictures.

Zack Climbing the wall at Duck Creek Days.

Well we spent the last two days up in the mountains at a place called Duck Creek. It was really pretty up there. Lots of trees and about 15 degrees cooler then here. It was still long and hot and hard on the kids, but we tried to make the best of it. Zack was REALLY excited when the man told him that he was big enough to go on the rock climbing wall. The man said that the kids needed to be bigger the 35 pounds. Well Zack just went over 40 last time we checked so he could go on the wall. That is all he talked about last night, and the first thing he said this morning. I was pretty impressed as he did better then I thought. We had a long talk about him being brave and giving it a good try. As you can see from the one picture, 40 pounds was not quite enough. He was not able to come down on his own, and the nice ladies helping had to go and bring him down. He did think that hanging was pretty fun though.

When all you do is travel

It seems as if every other week we are up in Utah County visiting family. Don't get me wrong, I love to go up there to visit. Full weeks at a time seems to be a bit though. We do have a great time when we are up there. It is the coming home to everything that needs to get done that gets overwhelming. On this last visit we were able to do a few fun things. One of which was going to Salt Lake with Aunt Beth to visit the Tracy Aviary. We had never been there and the kids both loved it. Jack loves animals of all sorts. He screams and laughs, and jumps up and down every time he sees anything alive. This includes animals, and especially bugs. In fact one of our favorite cheap and easy activities is visiting the fish at Walmart. Both boys love the fish. By the way Dragonfish are pretty cool. We also were able to spend some time in Provo during the 4th weekend and visited the Colonial days, and other festivities. Overall a pretty good time for all.
